CLARK FREEPORT – In its bid to strengthening connectivity and
accessibility to the Visayas and Mindanao regions, the Philippines’ leading airline Cebu Pacific on Monday commenced daily flights between Clark and Tagbilaran, Bohol.
CEB also reopened on the same day four destinations from CRK: Iloilo and Puerto Princesa with daily flights; General Santos on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and Davao on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
On its maiden flight, CEB’s flight 5J1185 had 145 passengers, plus some Pampanga media persons, to experience the seamless and efficient airport journey through CRK, as well as, Bohol’s stunning landscapes and vibrant culture, including a stay at the North Zen Villas in Panglao.
In what was dubbed as a countryside tour, the sites visited included the heritage churches of Panglao and Dauis, the Oceanic Resort that has the longest stretch of white sand beach in all of Bohol, the Hinagdanan Cave, Bohol Farm, the Amarela Resort, and the South Farm.
“There is no better way to celebrate the new flight connecting Clark and Bohol, but to showcase the experiences that await travelers,” enthused Noel Manankil, president and CEO of Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp., the operator and manager of CRK.
“Through this tour, we hope to inform travelers that they can now book daily flights to Bohol and enjoy a hassle-free airport experience at CRK,” he added.
The CRK-Tagbilaran flight takes an average of one hour and ten minutes. For the return flight of media on Oct. 23, arrival at CRK was 23 minutes ahead of schedule.
CEB also operates flights from CRK to other domestic destinations including Caticlan and Cebu, as well as to international destinations such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Narita, and Singapore. Punto News Team/PR
