CLARK FREEPORT— The seedling dispersal program organized by Clark Development Corp. (CDC) has benefi tted 30 farmers and selected schools from nearby communities of this freeport.

This was gleaned from a report under the CDC’s program “Gulayan sa Bakuran Tulong sa Kabuhayan at Kalusugan” which was able to disperse 500 trays of assorted seedlings composed of eggplant, pepper, 50 kilos of pechay seeds and okra seeds among others.

Farmers from the municipalities of Porac, Pampanga; Bamban and Capas in Tarlac and Mabalacat City were the beneficiaries of the said program.

Meanwhile, representatives from Porac National High School, Villa Concepcion Elementary School and other selected partner schools were also given seedlings for their “Gulayan sa Paaralan” project which is also supported by CDC.

During the event, CDC External Affairs Division assistant vice president Rommel Narciso said the program is one of the thrusts of CDC in their effort to improve the livelihood of the nearby communities of this freeport.

“Hopefully, sa pamamagitan po ng mga binhing ito, makatulong kami sa inyong kalusugan lalo napo sa inyong kabuhayan. Yun po ang thrust ng aming kumpanya dahil ina-acknowledge po namin na marami po sa mga communities na nakapaligid sa Clark ay agricultural in nature,” Narciso said.
