CLARK FREEPORT — Clark Development Corp. (CDC) hosted the first Clark Chorale Competition at Nayon sa Clark, strengthening the Freeport’s role as a venue for culture-driven tourism.

Five choir groups from schools and community institutions joined the inaugural competition organized by the CDC Tourism Promotions Division. The event served as a platform for choral music and reinforced the use of Clark’s cultural spaces for artistic and community-oriented activities during the holiday season.

Preliminary rounds were held on Dec. 16–17, 19, 21, and 22. The final competition took place on December 23.

CDC president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera said the activity reflects Clark’s effort to support programs that value people, creativity, and cultural expression.

“What we are having right now is a symbol of the community that we are consciously developing here in Clark. A community of people,” she said.

The panel of judges included former Cultural Center of the Philippines music director Chris Millado, Gildo Garcia of the Angeles University Foundation Concert Chorus, and Professor Joseph Erwin Limpin of the Magnificat Seminary Choir.

Voce de Angeli won the championship. Koro de Sto. Niño placed first runner-up, while Systems Plus College Foundation (SPCF) Glee Club finished second runner-up. Consolation prizes went to Sta. Monica Parish Chamber Singers and Maestro del Musico.

The Clark Chorale Competition is part of CDC’s continuing support for culture and the arts, positioning Clark as a destination where tourism is complemented by sustained cultural programs. CDC-PR
