CLARK FREEPORT — Enhanced guidelines for pet owners and carriers in this freeport, CDC housing units, and Clark Loop buses will be in effect starting April 22.
The Clark Development Corp. said the guidelines aim to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors and pet owners alike, to wit:
All pets must be vaccinated according to the Animal Welfare Act and the Anti-Rabies Act. Vaccination cards must be presented during inspections. Pets, especially dogs, must be leashed at all times in public areas, including parks and sidewalks.
Owners must ensure pets are under control to prevent nuisance or danger. Pet owners must maintain cleanliness, ensuring pets are free from foul odors. Proper disposal of pet waste using diapers and plastic bags is mandatory.
Within CDC housing units, pets must not disturb neighbors with excessive barking. Unleashed pets roaming the streets will be considered stray and impounded.
Commercial breeding and pet burials within Clark are prohibited. For those traveling with pets on Clark Loop buses, only one pet per passenger is allowed. Pets must be small (2-22 pounds or 0.9-10 kilograms) or medium (23-57 pounds or 10.4-25.9 kilograms), odor-free, and placed in a carrier or cage. Pets must wear proper diapers. Feeding pets during the trip is prohibited.
Violations of the guidelines will result in the following penalties: First Offense: ₱1,000, Second Offense: ₱5,000, Third Offense: ₱10,000.
