CDC chief pushes MICE industry dev’t

CLARK FREEPORT — “I am a lawyer by profession, but I am a MICE advocate by passion.”

Thus, Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, president and CEO of the Clark Development Corp., expressed her commitment to the development of the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

Her disclosure was met with resounding applause during the launch of the second edition of “Professional Events Management” by the Philippine MICE Academy and the Philippine Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers Inc. held at the SMX Convention Center – Clark on July 12.

Devanadera announced that CDC would make its existing facilities available for training sessions conducted by the Philippine MICE Academy, highlighting CDC’s commitment to advancing the MICE sector in Clark and across the Philippines.

The “Professional Events Management” book was written by Dexter Deyto and co-authored by Cynthia Reantaso-Bernabe, Tinette Capistrano, Anton Magpantay, Maria Montserrat Iturralde-Hamlin, Joel Pascual, Jing Lagandaon, Orlando Ballesteros, Sonia Sayaman, Jose Luis Yulo, Jr., Thelma Dumpit- Murillo, Adelia Faner-Majaba, and Marisa Nallana.

During the event, the MICE Academy presented copies of the book to Tourism Promotions Board COO Maria Margarita Nograles and Devanadera, recognizing their support and contributions to the industry. CDC-PR
