CLARK FREEPORT – The National Arts Month finds a fitting celebration by the Clark Development Corp. with the exhibition “Ambun a Pasaguiua: A Gentle Rain Reviving Wilted Flora,” showcasing works of Kapampangan artist Manuelito Trinidad Madrid.
The solo exhibition opened on Feb. 23 and will run until March 23 at the Clark Museum here.
“It is right that the CDC will follow this path from here on. It will not just be a feature and support for the local artists during this month, February, or any other month. But it should be every month that we have an artist to be featured,” enthused CDC president and CEO Atty. Agnes Devanadera at the opening of the exhibit.
“We need music, we need culture, and we need paintings. These are the languages of the soul,” she added, affirming the state-run agency’s commitment to promoting local arts and culture in Pampanga, emphasizing the significance of continuous support for artists.
In his remarks, Madrid expressed gratitude for the opportunity to exhibit his artwork and underscored the importance of visibility for young artists.
“We create a new face of Pampanga art. Hopefully, more youth, more Kapampangan artists, ang makaapak din dito [Clark Museum],” Madrid said.
Chriselle Yambao, supervising tourism operations officer from the Department of Tourism Regional Office III, emphasized the economic and social impact of the arts and creative industry, aligning with the CDC’s efforts to promote a vibrant cultural hub in Clark.
