IBA, Zambales — A man wanted for carnapping was arrested by joint personnel of the Subic police, the provincial highway patrol team, 2nd provincial mobile force company, 305th maneuver company, 2nd platoon and regional mobile force battalion 3 in Subic town on Tuesday.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño identified the suspect as Arjay De Silva y Yape, 24, of Barangay San Isidro, Subic.
Acting Subic police chief Major San Juan Felmar D. Aquino said De Silva was arrested at about 4:30 p.m., in Barangay San Isidro, Subic, by virtue of standing warrant of arrest for violation of RA 10883 (carnapping) issued by Judge Roline M Ginez-Jabalde of RTC Branch 74, Olongapo City dated Aug, 9, 2021 under Criminal Case Nr. 2021-1135 with recommended bail of P300,000.
De Silva was included in the list of Subic Most Wanted Person (Municipal Level-Manhunt Charlie) as the primary suspect in theft of one red Honda TMX 155 motorcycle with sidecar bearing license plate no. QS4831 at Purok 3, Barangay Asinan Proper, Subic last Jan. 29, 2021.
The suspect is now detained at the Subic Municipal Police Station.
