CABANATUAN CITY – A 57-year-old widower died while his daughter sustained
injuries in a fire that razed a residential house to the ground in Villa Luz Subd.,
Barangay Mabini Homesite here at shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, July 23.
Police identified the fatality as Enrique Santos, Jr., caretaker of the house owned
by a certain Luzviminda Seki.
His daughter, Joyce Santos, is being treated at the Paulino J. Garcia Memorial
Research and Medical Center here for burn injuries, police said.
Santos was reportedly trapped at the comfort room where his body was found by
investigators.
Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection this city declared fired out 1:20 a.m.
The cause of fire and cost of damage were yet to be determined.
