Capitol turns over 59 new service vehicles to barangays

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Fifty-nine new service vehicles were turned over by the Pampanga provincial government to various barangays across the province on Monday, March 3.

Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Association of Barangay Captains president and ex-officio board member Claire Lim, and special assistant to the governor Angelina Blanco handed the keys and license plates to the barangay captains during the ceremonial turnover ceremony at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.

In his message, the governor exhorted barangay officials to utilize these vehicles as essential tools in delivering faster, more efficient, and effective public service to Kapampangans.

“Pakisabi mi pu, sesen yu la pu reng service yu. Mag-allot tamu pung pondu para kareng maintenance da para agamit tala pung malambat para kareng kabarangay tamu,” he said. 

According to Blanco, each barangay service vehicle comes with a one-year warranty. In addition, the provincial government is also extending its support by repairing previously distributed service vehicles from the Capitol.

For her part, board member Lim thanked the governor for his continued support in addressing the needs of barangays in the province.
