BALANGA CITY – Even employees in the provincial government under the job order system and consultancy service will be receiving their salaries through the Automated Teller Machine payroll system, the Bataan governor said Monday.

Regular employees at the Bataan Capitol, seat of the provincial government, have earlier became the beneficiaries of the new payroll system Gov. Albert Garcia said the scheme will be implemented come April this year.

The governor said the program will save the workers from hurdling long lines when getting their salaries at the lobby of the Capitol. “This is part of our program to ease the lives of our employees,” Garcia said.

Antonio Samaniego, human resources management office chief, said more than 450 workers under the job order category will be benefited from the new ATM payroll system. “As soon as former Cong. Abet Garcia sat as governor last year, he immediately ordered the payment of salaries of 457 regular workers by ATM,” Samaniego said.
