CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – “Mga kabataang Kapampangan, magsipag kayo sa pag-
aaral.”
Thus, Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda exhorted college scholars of the Pampanga
provincial during the distribution of financial subsidies at the Bren Z. Guiao
Convention Center here on Monday.
Pineda reported that the number of scholars has increased from 8,258 last year to
14,113 for the first semester this year. The government’s Educational Financial
Assistance program has likewise increased.
“Tig-P4,000 kada semester na po ang kanilang tinanggap simula Lunes, June 20,
mula P3,000. Sa kabuuan po ay P56.452 million ang ibinigay ng Capitol sa kanila
mula P24.774 million,” the governor said.
The EFA program provides necessary support to the Kapampangan youth to finish
their studies and become responsible and productive citizens.
“Ang makatapos sila ng pag-aaral para magkatrabaho at makatulong sa kanilang
pamilya ay tulong din nila sa pag-unlad ng Pampanga,” Pineda noted.
He thanked Vice Gov. Lilia “nanay” Pineda and the sangguniang panlalawigan for
readily approving his budget requests for education. Punto News Team
