CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – In response to supply shortage, Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Gov.Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, initiated a home-based face mask livelihood program.
Under the program, the provincial government will provide 600 “ready–to–sew” pieces of garments to home-based sewers across the province.
Each beneficiary will be tasked to produce face masks that will be distributed mainly to frontliners, such as medical and on-ground personnel, who are working to help curb the spread of Covid-19 in the province.
“The sewer-beneficiaries will receive a total payment of P3,000 once they are done making the items, that means per piece is equivalent to P500,” said 2ndDistrict board member Olga Frances “Fritzie” David-Dizon.
To date, there is still an on-going distribution of garments to some areas of Lubao, Porac, San Simon, Bacolor, and the cities of Mabalacat and San Fernando.
About 100,000 reusable face masks are still expected to be rolled out in several municipalities in the province as the country continues to experience supply shortage amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
