CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Vital assistance in cash and medical services amounting to some P9 million were provided by the provincial government to 424 Kapampangans on Feb. 17.
The provision of such assistance has been a regular activity in the administration of Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda in their advocacy for expanded public health service to the Kapampangan.
Monday’s distribution began with the awarding of one-time cash incentives of P100,000 each to seven senior citizens aged 95 and above in accordance with Ordinance No. 683.
Additionally, 27 individuals were granted general financial assistance, and 55 beneficiaries received burial assistance.
Vice Governor Pineda, accompanied by board members Cherry Manalo, Pol Balingit, Nelson Calara, and Atty. Jun Canlas, personally led the distribution, ensuring that each recipient’s needs were met.
In a separate but equally important effort, the vice governor attended to individuals seeking medical support, including those facing hospital bills, chemotherapy and dialysis treatments, and necessary medical tests.
A total of P6.8 million was distributed to 335 beneficiaries as part of the Governor’s Medical Assistance Program. Pampanga PIO
