FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga – The expansion of higher education continues its advancement by the provincial government of Pampanga under the administration of Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda.
On March 6, the governor, along with Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and Mayor Darwin Manalansan broke ground for the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Floridablanca Campus in Barangay Sta. Monica here.
Allocated with a ₱43,677,467.51 budget was, a soon to rise three-story academic building of DHVSU-Floridablanca is targeted for completion in December 2025, to provide accessible and quality education to students in the municipality and nearby areas.

The governor underscored the importance of education as a key driver of progress and poverty alleviation. “Ang edukasyon ang sasagot sa kahirapan…para po ito sa kinabukasan ng Pampanga. Nakikiusap po ako na suportahan po natin ang DHVSU Floridablanca.”
Manalansan extended his gratitude to the provincial government for making the project possible. “Kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa ating gobernador at bise gobernador sa pagsasakatuparan sa proyektong ito na nakalaan sa edukasyon ng mga taga-Floridablanca.”
Also present at the groundbreaking ceremony were special assistant to the governor Angelina Blanco, provincial engineer Noli Pangan, Vice Mayor Michael Galang, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Floridablanca.
Representatives from DHVSU, including student affairs and services vice president Dolly Quiambao and Floridablanca Campus understudy director Rozen Alfonso, also expressed their full support for the initiative. Pampanga PIO
