Rem is now an incoming freshman at the University Of Assumption in Pampanga. He will take up Business Administration. He adheres to his parents’ belief that there is nothing than a fine education; that all parents are dreaming for their children to finish college and obtain a degree. But of course, we are supporting all other activites our children are engaging with,” says Mrs. Mary Ann Limsom who confessed that she tails Rem to the golf course in every competition he had. “Kahit yung sa practice lang gusto ko siyang samahan to show my support. I know that my son’s passion is to play golf kaya kami ng dad nila supportive kami sa kanya,” added the demure mom.
Academics and golf will now consume 100 percent of Rem’s time. How will he manage to do it? “Time management lang po siguro. When I was in Saudi I could only do golf during weekends. Kaya ditto sa Pilipinas gusto kung sulitin. I will practive everyday kasi malapit naman ang bahay namin ditto sa golf course. Pagbukas ng klase, I can take morning classes at pagkagaling sa school tuloy sa golf course, I don’t want to skip a day dahil gusto ko talaga ma-perfect ang golf,” says Rem when asked about his time management idea.
Going back to his idea of a Tiger-Wood-of-Candaba he wants to be dubbed, what exactly he means by that?
“I love golf at alam ko pong andiyan na ako. I would like to prove that I can be what I want and be good at it. Being good at it, wala na pong questions, I have proven that. Ngayon po I have tasted how to be good at it at ayaw ko na pong bumaba pa riyan, level up po ang ibig kong sabihin. siguro po naman isang araw I can show them at mapaniwala ko silang magaling nga ako kasi araw araw ko po talagang gagalingan. Gusto ko po yung mga kababayan ko, makita nila ako na nagtatagumpay, parang si Tiger Woods po kasi siya ang idol ko.”
Very well said, good luck, Christer Rem!
