CLARK FREEPORT — Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) spokesperson Florante Solmerin has dismissed as “figment of the imagination” board member Sandra Cam’s grave threat accusation against two PCSO officials.

“Naubusan na siguro sya ng bala (She might already have run out of bullets),” Solmerin said in a recent forum with Capampangans In Me dia, Inc. (CAMI) here.

“How can she even say that she would be bombed at her office which is located just beside the office of (PCSO chairman Jose Jorge) Corpuz?” Solmerin asked, even as he accused Cam of lack of professionalism as PCSO board member.

Cam, former jueteng whistle-blower, earlier accused PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan of sending a man to bomb her office along Shaw Boulevard on Dec. 29.

Cam, who reportedly now wears bullet proof vest, also claimed she had been receiving threatening calls after she exposed the multimillion-peso Christmas party of PCSO employees at the Shangrila Hotel.

“She is a board member and could have checked facts before she went to media. The fact is that only P6.5 million of the P9.5 million party budget was really used for the Christmas party for 1,580 employees from all over the country, not counting three to four members of their families,” he said.

Solmerin said top PCSO officials are willing to listen to Cam’s gripes within the board and that if the board fi nds no worth in her complaints, she could bring her case personally to Pres. Duterte.

Solmerin said the remaining balance from the P9.5 million is now being processed so that the amount could be used for typhoon victims in the south.
