ANGELES CITY — Donned in Money Heist costume of red jumpsuits and Salvador Dali masks, Del Magnificos’ Call HOW (Help on Wheels) personnel distributed more grocery packs to different hospitals in Angeles City on Thursday, following the release of the latest season of the famous crime drama series on Netflix April 3.
Healthcare frontliners who are avid fans of the said series felt a little comic relief as Call HOW visitedthem with more food, grocery packs, and face shields continuously making efforts to flatten the curve through their corporate social responsibility program under Del Mundo Prime Holdings Inc.
According to DM Prime Holdings Inc general manager Steve Jay dela Cruz, the group also had serious reservations and apprehensions on wearing the costumes as it is a sensitive time.
“Doctors and nurses were seen smiling at us and even asked to take pictures as they are also avid fans of the popular Spanish series,” said dela Cruz.
According to DM Prime Holdings Inc president and CEO Jeffrey Del Mundo, while the company’s concern is to provide food, grocery packs, PPEs, and face shields, he also wanted to give a brief moment of comic relief to the frontliners to somehow reduce the environment of fear, trauma, and anxiety brought about by this global Covid-19 pandemic.
Through the second day of the Call HOW mission, the group also went to an indigent community in Anupul, Bamban and provided them with grocery packs, water, and alcohol supplies. Police and military personnel at the border checkpoints were also given necessary supplies. The group also provided food to some families who took temporary resting ground and shelter at Astro Park.
