Some 1.25 kilos of shabu estimated to be worth P7.1 million was seized from a suspect in a buy-bust operation in Porac town Thursday evening.

Pampanga police director Col. Andres Simbajon Jr. identified the suspect as Khalid Montealbo Monte, 29, of Barangay Sta. Teresita, Angeles City.

Police said the suspect had been under surveillance by the provincial drug enforcement unit following reports of his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in Pampanga and nearby Central Luzon areas.

The suspect did not resist arrest during the buybust operation at Barangay Sta. Cruz, at the boundary of Porac and Angeles City.

PDEU chief Maj. Louie Gonzaga said the suspect negotiated with a police poseur-buyer the sale of 1.5 kilograms of shabu.

Four other sachets of shabu were found in his pockets and a block of suspected shabu was discovered in his backpack.

The police placed the confiscated substances at 1.25 kilos with an estimated street value of P7.1 million.

The suspect was placed under surveillance by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit following reports of his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in the province.

Police Maj. Louie Gonzaga, chief of the PDEU, said the suspect negotiated the sale of 1.5 kilograms of shabu.
