ABUCAY, Bataan — Police on Wednesday reported the arrest of three suspected drug peddlers in a buy-bust operation in a barangay here.
In a report to Bataan police director Col. Joel Tampis, Abucay police chief Major Leopoldo Estorque kept the identities of the suspects hidden under the tags A, B and C, one of them a woman, of Barangay Mabatang.
The raiding team seized from the suspects three heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the marked P500-bill.
Estorque said A and C are included in the Philippine National Police/Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency unified drug watchlist and monitored continuously selling illegal drugs.
The buy-bust operation, he said, was coordinated with the PDEA–Region 3.
Participating in the early morning operation aside from the Abucay municipal station were the 1st provincial mobile force company led by Major Randy Apolonio and the provincial police drugs enforcement unit under Lt. Gilcerio Dizon, Jr.
Cases for violations of Section 5 and 11 under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against the suspects, Estorque said.
