The Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3) proudly reports a significant increase in business name registrations across Central Luzon, reflecting a thriving entrepreneurial spirit and business environment.
Based on the latest data, the number of registered business names in the region surged from 112,916 in 2023 to 126,684 in 2024, marking a remarkable 12.19% increase. This growth highlights the region’s continuous efforts to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through various programs and initiatives.
The increase in business name registrations is evident across all provinces in the region. Bulacan led the growth with 44,985 registrations in 2024, up from 35,352 in 2023, reflecting a 27.2% increase.
Aurora registered 2,557 businesses, showcasing a 15.7% growth from the previous year. Pampanga followed with 29,165 registrations, up from 27,345 in 2023 showing a steady increase of 6.7%.
Zambales posted a 6.6% increase with 10,248 registrations. Tarlac recorded 12,959 registrations with 6.4% increase.
Bataan and Nueva Ecija also posted a steady growth with 4.8% and 0.8%, respectively.
Business Name registration has reflected consistent increases since 2021. In 2022, a 2.59% increase was recorded while a 7.43% rise was tallied in 2023.
The consistent rise in business registrations reflects the resilience of the region’s business community despite economic challenges. DTI-3 Regional Director Edna D. Dizon emphasized the role of the agency’s support programs, such as the Negosyo Centers, entrepreneurial training, and financing assistance, in fostering this growth.
“We are thrilled to see such a positive response from our entrepreneurs. This surge in business name registrations is a testament to the hard work and determination of our MSMEs, who are the backbone of our regional economy,” said Dizon.
DTI-3 remains committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Through partnerships with local government units, private organizations, and other stakeholders, the agency aims to promote innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability among MSMEs.
“Our goal is to inspire more individuals to embark on their entrepreneurial journey while strengthening the competitiveness of existing businesses in the region,” Dizon added.
As DTI continues to roll out its programs and initiatives in 2025, the agency is optimistic about sustaining the upward trend in business registrations. The department also calls on aspiring entrepreneurs to take advantage of the various services offered by the Negosyo Centers across the region.
