The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Aurora Provincial Office, in partnership with the office of Aurora Representative Rommel T. Angara and local government units, distributed livelihood packages to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the northern municipalities of Aurora on January 16 and 17.

The event, held under the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB), was attended by key officials, including Congressman Rommel Rico T. Angara, Governor Reynante A. Tolentino, DTI Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino Jr., DTI Region 3 Regional Director Edna D. Dizon, DTI Aurora Provincial Director Aldrin M. Veneracion and respective Local Chief Executives and invited local officials of said municipalities.

A total of 647 MSMEs received sari-sari store starter kits, empowering local entrepreneurs in Dipaculao (49), Dinalungan (144), Casiguran (229), and Dilasag (225).

The program beneficiaries have also undergone entrepreneurship training and mentorship sessions, equipping them with essential knowledge of business management, marketing, and financial literacy.

The LSP-NSB program continues to be a vital initiative in Aurora, particularly in its northernmost towns, where economic opportunities can be limited. The local government and DTI pledged to sustain their support for MSMEs, ensuring that more entrepreneurs benefit from future interventions. This distribution marks another milestone in DTI’s mission to empower small businesses and strengthen economic resilience in the province. With continued collaboration between national and local leaders, Aurora’s MSMEs are expected to flourish, creating more jobs and economic opportunities for the region.
