ORANI, Bataan — Five towns in Bataan were affected by the scheduled power outage of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) and the Peninsula Electric Cooperative (Penelco) Tuesday.

NGCP said in its social media account that it will undertake implementation of the 69KV switchyard project at its Hermosa substation.

Jose Baino, Penelco foreman, said they pulled out a broken transformer in Orani while there is a power interruption.

He added that that as far as he knew, power interruption was from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m scheduled in portions of the towns of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, and Abucay.

Paguio, also section head of the 69 KV sub-transmission line of Penelco, said they have to undertake yearly maintenance to maintain the integrity of the system.

He said that in Orani they started at 5 a.m. which was set until 7 p.m. based on NGCP notice of interruption.
