HERMOSA, Bataan — A brother shot and wounded his older sibling in a heated argument while in a drinking spree in their residential compound in a village here, police reported Wednesday.
Major Jeffrey S. Onde, Hermosa police chief, said Jasson Gregorio, 36, used a .38 revolver in shooting his brother, Richard Gregorio, 41, past 10 p.m. of Monday in Barangay Cataning.
In the middle of their drinking session while the brothers were having a heated discussion, the suspectsuddenly drew his gun and shot his elder brother at the back and left cheek, the police chief said.
The victim was rushed to the Jose Payumo District Hospital in Dinalupihan and later transferred to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Hospital in the City of San Fernando.
The suspect fled but was arrested in the same barangay the following day, Tuesday, in hot pursuit operation by combined elements from the Hermosa police, provincial mobile force company, and the policeintelligence branch.
Recovered from his possession was a .38 revolver with six live ammunitions and two fired cartridges, Onde said.
Hermosa police is readying appropriate charges against the suspect.
