ANGELES CITY – Finally constructed is the concrete bridge across the North Luzon Expressway serving as the vital link in the P150-million EPZA diversion road touted as the “final solution” to the monstrous traffic problem at the Magalang-Angeles Road.
The diversion road will traverse barangays Pulung Maragul and Pulung Cacutud onto the Infinity business district area near city hall and connect to Don Aniceto Gueco Avenue going to Balibago district.
It was in 2016 that Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Jonjon” Lazatin submitted the project plan and design but the funding was released only in 2019.
Original target of completion for the road project was October 2020, rendered impossible by the coronavirus disease pandemic. No new target date of completion has been announced.
