Initial investigation disclosed that the break-in transpired between 7 p.m. of February 20 and 9 a.m. of February 21.
Subic Mayor’s Office employee Melissa Mirador is reported to have discovered the incident when she came for work Monday.
Chief Inspector Edmar dela Torre of the PNP Crime Laboratory led operatives in processing the crime scene and discovered the missing documents at the COA office comprising municipal disbursement vouchers, municipal official receipts, the disbursement vouchers and official receipts of all barangays for the year 2013-2015, the Annual Audit Report of all barangays for 2014, cash books for 2013- 2015 (general and trust fund), Liquidation Report for 2006- 2015, Audit Observation Memoranda and other COA reports from 2010-2015, along with a desktop computer and printer.
Missing from the Accounting Dept. storeroom were vouchers for 2007-2015, the Barangay Report of Calapacuan, Ledger 2014 of Special Education Fund and Ledger 2013 for Trust Fund.
At the Mayor’s Office missing were CCTV record box, hand held radios and several important documents.
Police said the culprits entered the Mayor’s Office by breaking the glass door.
The municipal hall is a stone’s throw away from the Subic Municipal Police Station.
Police are still conducting investigation to identify the culprits.
