CABANATUAN CITY – Foodies from Nueva Ecija and adjoining areas can now enjoy the taste of Japan as the 29th branch of an “authentic Japanese food brand” opened at the ground floor of SM City Cabanatuan on Sunday.

Rhodelie Bala, general manager of Botejyu Philippines, said 90 percent of their ingredients, including sausages, comes from Japan. “So ang local ingredients lang namin ay 10 percent lang that consist of vegetables lang and meat,” she said.

Following an interior that is wood-centric and metal furnishings, accentuated by warm white lights and frames that highlight the history of Botejyu since 1946, Bala said the branch offers “a wide array of food selection from its menu that captures all authentic Japanese food from its key cities.”

Their best sellers, she said, include Pork Tonkotsu Ramen, Prawn Tempura Platter, Original Chicken Karaage, Teppan Grilled Pork Gyoza, Original Sauce and Mayo Takoyaki, and Califonia Roll among others.

“By simply going to Food Panda app, you can now interactively find your favorite dishes through its user-friendly menu, efficient order confirmation and safe payment window to finally ease you to relax while you wait for the best Japanese meal to arrive right at your doorstep,” a statement released by the branch said.

This latest branch is part of Viva International Food and Restaurant, Inc.’s vision to be the biggest Japanese food brand in the country, it added. It committed to open five other branches by the yearend.

Soon to open stores are at SM Tarlac, SM Batangas, SM Baliwag, SM Grand Central, and SM Calamba.

“Botejyu’s strong heritage encouraged us to step up and set up in stages additional touchpoints where both our loyal and potential customers can connect to our brands with the website as its core,” said Vicente Rafael “VR” del Rosario IV, president and COO for Viva International Food & Restaurants, Inc., in another statement.

Aside from Bala, the opening was grace by various brand and mall officials.
