CLARK FREEPORT — Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS), reportedly the first facility of its kind outside the eBoss compliance of local government units, was inaugurated  here on Nov. 6 by the Clark Development Corp.

“I think this is one of the things that I can take pride in, that here at CDC, we are embracing a culture of responding to the needs and the issues employing the whole-of-government approach,” said CDC president-CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera in inaugurating the facility Building 2126 on E. Quirino Avenue.

CDC’s BOSS is designed to simplify the process of obtaining permits and licenses for Clark investors. This, in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s direction of a whole-of-government approach to ensure effective government action.

“And because of this strategy that President Marcos would want us to adopt, we have brought some of you as high as the Office of the President and the Office of the Executive Secretary, just to be able to work through our problems, and sometimes they [locators] don’t need new laws. They don’t need amendments. Sometimes it’s simply that we have to make the government work,” noted Devanadera.

Anti-Red Tape Authority Secretary Ernesto V. Perez who led the guests at the BOSS opening commended the CDC’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of streamlining processes to promote ease of doing business in the Philippines.

“May the example being set today by the Clark Development Corp. be emulated by the whole country, nationwide, because you are showcasing the way government service must be rendered to your stakeholders, to your locators,” he said.

The BOSS offers various services, from pre-application counseling to post-approval monitoring, and aims to enhance the attractiveness of the CFZ as a premier investment destination. It is eyed to benefit 1,161 locators and 136,836 employees in Clark. Punto News Team/PR
