MABALACAT, Pampanga – Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales announced yesterday that he will set up a “one-stop shop” in the new municipal hall at the P6-billion Xevera housing project in Barangay Tabun, here.
Morales said the residents and investors will “greatly benefit” from the transfer of all the government offices at the 30-room municipal hall. He inspected the construction site yesterday, two days before he will celebrate his birthday on November 15.
At present, there municipal offices are located in separate sites in Barangays Dau and Poblacion, which are some seven kilometers away from each other.
“The upcoming municipal hall is too good to be true. It’s a really nice building in a world-class site,” said Morales. He expressed gratitude to Globe Asiatique top honcho Delfin Lee who donated the municipal hall to the first-class municipality.
Lee is the developer of two Xevera housing projects in Pampanga. The one in Bacolor town is nearing full completion with some 500 of its 4,000 units already occupied.
Morales said the “one-stop shop” will cater to the needs of his constituents and visitors, especially the businessmen.
Morales said the Xevera project had made “the northern part of Mabalacat the next growth center of the town.”
“It’s the first important piece of the planned Central Business District (CBD) in the area,” said Morales. “I am now confident that it will push through to generate vast economic activities and employment.”
Morales said he had funded projects in nearby areas of Xevera “to complement the tremendous investment of Mr. Lee.”
