MABALACAT, Pampanga – Stressing the importance of loyalty to the poltical party, Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales has assembled his line-up for the 2010 elections describing them as the “team to beat.”

Morales said his team will be led by re-electionist Vice Mayor Prospero Lagman, who has yet to suffer a defeat in politics.

“Pareng Pros Lagman best exemplifies what loyalty to the party is all about. He supports only the members of his team,” said Morales, a staunch supporter of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and the Lakas-NUCD and Kampi parties.

Morales will field in three incumbent councilors in their line-up – Councilors Froy Galang, Oscar Aurelio and Jerry Basilio.

It could be recalled that Galang was the top vote-getter among the councilors of Morales in 2007.

A former computer school manager, Galang helped Morales in generating more jobs for their constituents through the aggressive promotion of their work skills.

Aurelio, a doctor, will gun for his third term along with Basilio.

Morales disclosed that former Councilor Liza Pineda will make a comeback under their party. She is the wife of the mayor’s cousin, Businessman Emil Pineda.

Completing the line-up of Morales are Engr. Rox Peña, Bok Tiglao, Arlene De La Cruz and Dong Dayrit.

An environmentalist, Peña is an official at the Trust International Paper Corp. (Tipco). He fell short in winning a councilor’s seat in 2007, placing 9th over-all.

Tiglao is a former Association of Barangay Councils (ABC). De La Cruz is a former village chief in San Joaquin and a successful businesswoman.

Dayrit is a neophyte in politics. He is the son of former Vice Mayor Fidel Dayrit.
