FIRST DISTRICT, Pampanga – The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bogo City, Cebu, through Resolution No. 364-2025, expressed their gratitude to Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistance Secretary for Right-of-Way and Site Acquisition IC Calaguas and Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel for their P100,000 personal donation for the victims of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Bogo City on September 30, 2025.
“The City of Bogo deeply appreciates this generous gesture that contributes to its continuing efforts toward recovery and further solidifies the hope and resilience of the Bogohanon people,” the Resolution states.
The Resolution also commends the “admirable display of compassion and solidarity” by Calaguas and Manuel.
Of the P100,000 donation received by Bogo City, P25,000 is from Calaguas’ own pocket, another P25,000 from Manuel, and P50,000 from the Red Pillars Foundation, which is headed by Calaguas and Manuel.
It can be recalled that Calaguas and Manuel also donated the same amount for the victims of Typhoons Tino and Uwan in Negros Oriental in November 2025. #
