ANGELES CITY – Pursuant to its goal of being the regional champion in rural banking, Bank of Florida (BOF) opened its newest branch here, the 15th in its network across Central Luzon.

“We are thrilled to be a partner for inclusive growth in Angeles City and deliver our relevant deposit and loan products, as well as our customer- centric services,” said BOF Chair and President Teresa David-Carlos at the inauguration of the branch located right at the heart of the city central business district along Sto. Rosario Street.

Coinciding with the opening of the branch is the launch of the two newest services offered by the half-a-century old BOF catering to doctors and entrepreneurs and designed to address needs for additional capital and investments.

“The loan for doctors ranges from P50,000 to P500,000 to help them enhance their practice or the need for medical equipment and others, while the vehicle loan could be availed of by entrepreneurs for additional capital using their automobiles as collateral.

These and our other products and services are designed for each need as we want to be part of your story. Truly, it’s all about you!” David-Carlos said.

    Economic vibrancy

At the opening rites, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan hailed BOF’s coming to his city as “proof positive of the robustness and vibrancy of the local economy.” “Very recently the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas cited the increase in deposits in the region.

That and what I believe are ready loans to be rolled out are proof of a robust economy and vibrant investment  atmosphere. We are very happy and proud to have BOF with us in Angeles City,” he said. For her part, Vice-Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting cited five reasons why BOF is “truly on its way to becoming a regional rural banking industry champion.”

“First, BOF is really a caring bank because of how you serve your clients. Second, you are a cultural bank which values culture and heritage as evident in your structures and activities. Third, the bank is indeed a community bank with your social responsibility to communities around your offices.

Fourth, you are a committed bank always ready to serve people like farmers with unique products. And fifth, you are indeed a champion bank because you do what you do best!” Vega-Cabigting said.
