CLARK FREEPORT The Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark inaugurated its Customer Care Center over the weekend here.

BOC-Clark district collector Atty. Ruby Alameda said the CCC is established pursuant to the bureaus directive to lessen face-to-face transactions in accordance with health protocols during the Covid pandemic, as well as in compliance with ease-of-doing-business policy of the BOC.

The CCC, she said, will serve as the port’s one-stop-shop that will assist stakeholders in receiving and releasing of documents, determining status of shipments, facilitation of payment transactions and other customs-related inquiries and transactions.

It will be comprised of Pass Control, Information, Document, Cashier areas, among others, she added.

The CCC team will be manned by customs service officers headed by Customs Operations Officer III Jennifer Gabriel.

Alameda said that with the CCC in operation, customs processes will be further streamlined and customer service improved.

There will also be less opportunities for corruption and rightful revenues will be collected for the government, she furthered. — BOC-Clark PR
