FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga – A total of 1,119 indigent families and pregnant women here received food packs and vitamins from 2nd District board member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab as part of her program to assist vulnerable sectors of the community amid the ongoing pandemic.

The lady board member reached out to 509 beneficiaries at the Floridablanca Municipal Gym and another 610 in La Blanca in Barangay San Pedro. She also gave out snacks and cash assistance to the beneficiaries.

Pineda-Cayabyab said she aims to assure vulnerable sectors that the provincial government of Pampanga is one with them in their needs and concerns.

The distribution was also an opportunity for the board member to meet local residents and hear their concerns.

“We hope to reach people who have yet to receive anything amid this ongoing pandemic. It is a statement of assurance that their local government is here for them,” Pineda-Cayabyab said.

Mayor Darwin Manalansan who accompanied Pineda-Cayabyab in the event lauded her for the support she has been extending to the town.  He added that the support is essential for people whose livelihoods have been affected by the pandemic.
