MASINLOC, Zambales – Operatives of CIDG-Zambales and this town’s police station conducting “Oplan Mega Shopper” intercepted crates of smuggled cigarettes and arrested a businesswoman in Barangay San Lorenzo here on March 12.
Major Jonathan Mostoles, head of CIDG-Zambales identified the suspect as Marcelina Palma De Jesus, 36, of Barangay San Lorenzo.
Police recovered from the suspect 15 master cases of Red Two Moon cigarettes, 10 master cases of Two Moon Lights, five master cases of Black Golden Bridge, 15 master cases of Green Two Moon, and five master cases of Red Modern, valued at P1,250,000.
The suspect is now under the custody of CIDG-Zambales facing charges for violation of RA 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines) before the Zambales Provincial Prosecutor.
