ABUCAY, Bataan — Two unidentified men gunned down a businessman painting a car inside his residential compound here at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Senior Inspector Jennifer Cruz, Abucay police chief, said Joeffrey Anthony Limcangco, 49, died near the car he was working on in the garage in front of their house in Barangay Calaylayan.
The victim succumbed to gunshot wounds on the head and different parts of the body from a .40 mm gun. Probers recovered 10 empty shells and three live ammunition of the said caliber.
Limcangco was in relending business, owned some fishponds, and into buy and sale of cars, Cruz said.
“Sa CCTV, nakita na may dalawang taong pumasok sa gate. Ang isa suot red helmet at ang isa black helmet kaya hindi mamukhaan,” Cruz said.
There were reports that the two men who entered through the open gate of the compound were part of a group of men in three motorcycles. After the shooting, the motorcycles sped away to an unknown direction.
The police chief said Limcangco’s wife told her that her husband had not intimated to her any threat to his life. “Nagdadalamhati pa kaya wala pang masabi sa ngayon,” she said.
