BIR kicks off 2024 tax campaign, cites top taxpayers

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – With the pledge to collect P12 billion in taxes this year, the Bureau of International Revenue-Revenue District Office 21-B (South Pampanga) launched Tuesday the 2024 tax campaign at the Kingsborough International Convention Center (KICC) here. The national government targets to raise P4.35 trillion this year, with the BIR entrusted to collect 70% of the budget. A motorcade preceded the launch rallying taxpayers to file and pay their annual income tax return by April 15, 2024.
Attending the event that was highlighted by the recognition of top individual and corporate taxpayers were BIR officers and employees, taxpayers, real estate brokers, accountants, and local government units. In a video message beamed at the event, BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui, Jr. reminded everyone:"Ang pagbayad ng buwis ay pagpapakita ng pagmamahal sa ating bayan.”

Recognized as the Top 5 Individual Taxpayers were Ferdinand Beltran, Dennis Pineda, Roderick Diaz, Rommel Martin Vitug, and Maria Criselda Margarita Beltran.
The Top 5 Corporate Taxpayers were Rholean Builders Corp., Silvermed Corp., Mega Asia Bottling Corp., Solanaland Development Inc., and, RDF Feed, Livestock & Foods, Inc.
The program was led by Revenue Region 4 director Atty. Emmanuel S. Ferrer, Jr., assistant regional director Atty. Marlon M. Mendoza, revenue district officer
Antonio J. Mangubat, Jr., and assistant revenue district officer Lynn B. Dilig.
