“Gusto ni Vice President na pag-aralang mabuti ng mga mambabatas ang mga probisyon at dapat hindi minamadali,” the lawyer said, adding that all sectors with interest be heard and the BBL should have strong provisions for lasting peace.
To achieve peace however, Binay is pushing for poverty reduction. “Dapat resolbahin muna ang kahirapan.
Magkakaroon ng kapayapaan kapag maayos ang pamumuhay ng mamamayan,” Quicho quoted the VP as saying.
On the Mamasapano bloody incident, Binay pressed for a proper and truthful investigation. “Dapat makita ang totoong nangyari nang walang pinapanigan at pinagtatakpan. Sa ganitong paraan lamang makakamit ng mga nasawi ang hustisya.”
Binay toured public markets in the towns of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal and Abucay and Balanga City where he was welcomed warmly.
