ORION, Bataan — Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a suspected drug trader and the confiscation of shabu estimated at P300,000 in a buy-bust operation here Wednesday.
Orion police chief Major Joshua Gonzales identified the suspect as Brian James Sevilla, 31, of Barangay Sabatan in Orion. He described the suspect as a bigtime drug pusher.
Police apprehended the suspect after he handed one small heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for a certain amount of cash.
Gonzales in a report to Bataan police director Col. Joel Tampis said that in a protective search, operatives found in the possession of Sevilla a transparent ice bag containing shabu weighing 48.462 grams with estimated street value of P300,000.
Elements of the provincial police and the Orion police conducted the raid.
The police chief said a case for violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is now being prepared against the suspect.
