Olongapo City –Big Bad Wolf Books, a mission based company known for its world largest book sale, in partnership with SM Central Olongapo, is making its debut in this city, from September 19 to 28, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center Olongapo Hall 1 to 4.
Lei Reinares Almeda, Country Head said, “With over 1 million brand-new English books available at discounts of up to 95% off, the event promises an incredible hunt for every type of reader— from kids and young adults to fiction lovers, professionals, and educators.
“Believe me it’s a challenge for us based in Manila to bring in 1-million books in four containers, logistics and limited staff, but we are hoping the community will come and visit us here at SMX. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to SM Olongapo for being gracious in hosting this book sale” Almeda said.
“Beyond just a sale, Big Bad Wolf continues its global mission to make books more affordable and accessible, empowering communities and spreading the joy of reading,” she said.
We cannot change the world if we are just going to the bigger cities, but we really want to also come to small cities. We have been to Cebu, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, all the way to General Santos City and now Olongapo is part of the story., she added
“This is not just a book sale, this is a movement where we ask our customers to purchase books and donate them later for our target beneficiaries, communities, indigent schools or local government units,” Almeda said.
Mr. Bernard Lee, Big Bad Wolf Regional head said, the Big Bad Wolf Books was launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2009 and a brainchild of BookXcess founders Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng. Its primary mission is to cultivate reading habits, increase English literacy worldwide and build a new generation of readers by making books affordable and accessible to everyone.
