HERMOSA, Bataan — The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources on Friday distributed fingerlings of milkfish and tilapia here.
BFAR Region 3 director Wilfredo Cruz and Hermosa Mayor Antonio Joseph Inton led in the distribution to 14 beneficiaries in the municipality.
The activity is under BFAR’s regional fingerlings dispersal and Hermosa’s municipal fingerlings disposal programs in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and the municipal agriculture office.
“Ito ay naglalayong masiguro na may sapat na makakain ang ating mga mamamayan lalo na ngayong panahon ng krisis at upang mapalakas ang sektor ng agrikultura at pangingisda sa ating bansa,” Inton said.
The mayor thanked BFAR and DA that he said are partners of the municipal government in serving the people especially at this time of the pandemic.
Distributed were 175 bags of milkfish of 150 pieces per bag or total of 26,250 milkfish fingerlings and 48 bags of tilapia of 1,305 pieces per bag or total of 62,640 tilapia fingerlings.
