In her photo, Bela had a little lump on her belly, which irritated her.
“Shocked by the number of comments on my IG post, pointing out that I have a belly.
“Yes I do. It holds in my organs that I need to live. It has a layer of muscles that I worked hard for in the gym and a layer of fat from the food I enjoy to eat. Deal with it. PLUS I’m seated.”
After this, Bela tweeted again.
“Would it have made you more comfortable if I edited my photo to perfection? Because I could have easily done that. But what message does it send to the younger ones? That our photos are only likeable when we’re perfect in photos?
“Not from me. NEVER.” she said.
“Walang showbiz, nothing is impossible. Siyempre, only God knows. Mahirap magsalita nang patapos.”
Only a few knew that Mayor Meneses is now a producer. He’s one of the people behind the CineKo Productions who produced ï¬lms like: Mang Kepweng Returns (2017), topbilled by Vhong Navarro, Bes and the Beshies (2017), feautred by Ai-Ai delas Alas, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Carmi Martin, and Beauty Gonzalez. Why did he enter ï¬ lm production?
“Well, to begin with, I’m also a fan. So, that’s why I got into this industry.”
However, he doesn’t have any plans of acting in his ï¬lms.
“Ah, no, no. Deï¬nietely not, wala sa plano ko. Just business lang.”
Aside from producing, the Meneses family owns food processing business. Mayor Meneses has a child with Ara Mina named Amanda Gabrielle. Some people ask why is Ara not included his ï¬lms?
“Deï¬nitely one of the movies din na ipu-produce ko, siyempre makakasama rin siya.”
His break up with Ara made waves in local showbiz.
But, eventually, they became civil with one another.
“Siyempre, we have a daughter. We have Amanda and whatever happens, there will be a special love for her because she’s the mother of my daughter.”
There had been no ï¬nancial problem between him and Ara.
“Wala, walang ganung naging problema.”
What can he comment on Ara’s statement that given the chance to have another child she prefer it to be with Mayor patrick,too.
“Why not? Why not? I’m single and she’s single. Gusto niya, e. Oo naman. Is there no possible reconciliation?
“A, siyempre, there are differences between the two of us na we weren’t able to settle. Walang showbiz, nothing is impossible. Siyempre, only God knows. Mahirap magsalita nang patapos.”
What qualities does Ara have that would make her candidate for a possible reconciliation?
“Parang everyone naman kasi is candidate, what more siya na matagal ko ring nakasama… puwede ulit. She’s a very good mom to Amanda.”
Is there any difference before than today in terms of Ara’s maturity is concerned?
“I guess, she’s more driven now with her career, with her craft. Siyempre, she’s a single mom, she’s also trying to give her best and support also for her part for Amanda.”
What is his dream girl in the future?
“My answer would be very cliché. Siyempre, hindi mo masasabi kung sino talaga, e. Mahirap sabihin kung ano ba ang hinahanap ko.”
Is there any phobia if marriage is being talked about?
“Wala, wala akong takot sa kasal. Gusto kong mag-settle with the right one, gustung-gusto ko naman talaga. I’m searching din naman. Darating din naman… naniniwala naman ako na ibibigay rin ni God kung ano yung para sa akin.”
Mayor Patrick appreciates people who say he looks exactly like her daughter Amanda.
“Maraming salamat. Ikaw ang nagsabi niyan, ha? Baka mag-react si Ara. Akin talaga, no doubt.”
Despite being a public servant, the mayor ï¬nds way to be with his daughter in Manila.
“I spend quality time with Amanda, as much time as I can have, I spend time with her. Talagang ibinibigay ko.
“Hindi lang yung I don’t spoil her materially, but quality time is very important sa akin. Not all time, pero as much na magkasama kami, walang cellphone, walang ibang lakad, and I don’t entertain anything.
“Si Amanda lang talaga. Nagkikita kami siguro twice a week, pero I talk to her every single day. I call her up two to three times a day, every day. I check on her twice or thrice a day.” he explained.
