CLARK FREEPORT – The Bases Conversion and Development Authority took center stage at the 2024 International Business Awards (IBA) with two prestigious Gold Stevie Awards in the gala event held at the InterContinental Hotel Istanbul, Turkey on Oct. 11.

Of the 3,600 nominations from 62 nations, as determined by 300 jurors worldwide, the “We Build As One: BCDA 2021 Annual Report” (Best Annual Report – Government Agencies) and external BCDA newsletter called “COLLECTIVE” (Other Publication – Government category) are among the entries that earned top honors for their excellence in communication, creativity, and transparency.

“The awards underscore BCDA’s commitment to elevating its public engagement and showcasing its pivotal role in national development,” noted BCDA president and CEO Engr. Joshua Bingcang. “These accolades affirm BCDA’s position as a leader in transparent governance and effective communication.”

Known as “the International Stevies,” The International Business Awards® are recognized as “the world’s premier business awards program, and the only completely-international program honoring achievement in the workplace.” It is open to all organizations worldwide – large and small, public and private, for-profit and non-profit.

Participating in international awards like the IBA brings substantial benefits to organizations. Recognition on a global platform boosts credibility, strengthens stakeholder confidence, and opens opportunities for networking and collaboration. It also inspires teams to maintain high standards of performance, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

With Bingcang in receiving the two Gold Stevie Awards were project owners BCDA vice president for public affairs Leilani Barlongay-Macasaet and public relations officer Denver A. Moreno, together with BCDA senior vice president for corporate services Atty. Elvira V. Estanislao, and BCDA vice president for investment promotions and marketing Kenneth R. Peralta.
