Di pala type ni BB gandang hari na maging representative siyang official kabalaan sa Pilipinas. Personal daw ang tingin niya sa kanya gender at dipa la maging huwaran ng mga bading sa ating bansa.
“I don’t want to be part of any organized gay movement as I don’t want to politicize my orientation,” paglilinaw niya. “I have nothing against that, I sympathize with them, but this is more of a personal journey for me. To each his own.”
Sa ngayon siya si M ichiko sa enchanted garden ng TV5.Sobrang ganda niya sa natruang teleserye kaya siya kinaiinggitan ng mga co-stars niyang mga tunay na babae.
“I have my own stylist to take care of my look and outfits, Angela Dominguez, who makes sure fabulosa talaga ang dating ko sa show. High fashion.
“Sana maging big hit talaga itong ‘Enchanted Garden’ as TV5 is spending so much for it. We’re shown weekdays at 6:30 p.m. and on Sundays, we have a marathon viewing at 10:30 a.m.
I’m supposed to go back na to New York as I thought this would run only for 6 weeks, but since extended kami to 15 weeks, I’ll stay here muna kasi I’m enjoying my role and working with my co-stars like Ruffa Gutierrez and Alice Dixson.”
Weren’t they her leading ladies when she was still Rustom? “Yes, I did a GMA telesine and a toothpaste commercial with Ruffa. With Alice, I did ‘Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko.’ But I’ll still have to leave for New York for a go-see in a fashion show, then I’ll return here right away.”
Kumusta naman ang kanyang pamilya tanggap na ba siya bilang si BB gandang hari?
“I think happy naman sila. My mom tells me, Napapanood kita. Ang ganda-ganda mo.”
Hindi ba siya naasiwa kay Zoren Legaspi naasawa ng dating niyangasaweang si Carmina Villaroel?
“We have no scenes together yet. But I see no reason para maging problema ‘yun since we get along fine.”
How about her own lovelife? “Ay, matagal nang wala. Tigang ang lola mo. I date but no serious relationship for 15 years na.”
It’s said her last relationship is with a well known actor. “I know where your question is leading but sorry, you won’t get anything from me. The past is past.”
She’s now working with the handsome Daniel Matsunaga in “Enchanted Garden” and it’s said Derek Ramsay would also join the show soon (along with Nora Aunor). Who is more of her type between the two?
“They’re so different, isang maputi at isang maitim. Pareho silang pogi. Magiging choosy pa ba ako?
Puwede ba’ng silang dalawa na lang ang manligaw sa’kin then at saka ako pipili? But I honestly don’t go for just looks. Mas important sa’kin ang ugaling makakasundo ko.”
