BALANGA CITY — Police arrested two alleged big-time drug traffickers and confiscated suspected shabu with standard drug price of P1.02 million in an operation in Barangay Townsite in Mariveles, Bataan Sunday.
Col. Palmer Tria, Bataan police director, said a joint anti-illegal drug operation was conducted by the Bataan Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Mariveles Municipal Police Station and Bataan 2nd Police Mobile Force Company.
The operating team apprehended the two suspects and confiscated two plastic sachets of shabu weighing some 150 grams.
The suspects were detained in Mariveles MPS and are now facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Tria said while lauding the efforts of the team.
Meanwhile, two men were arrested and illegal drugs and a firearm were seized during separate operations in Limay and Dinalupihan towns in Bataan Saturday.
Tria said the Limay Municipal Police Station conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Bo. Luz in Limay that resulted in the arrest of the suspected drug peddler.
Confiscated from the suspect who faces charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 were three sachets of shabu weighing 0.50 grams.
In Dinalupihan, a team from the municipal police station responded to an incident of heated argument and arrested the suspect and confiscated a .38 revolver loaded with four live ammunitions in Barangay Luacan.
The suspect is now under the custody of Dinalupihan MPS and will face charges for committing a crime of grave threat and violation of RA 10591, Tria said.
