BALANGA City: The provincial office of the Philippine National Police in Bataan held its weekly enhanced managing police operation at Camp PFC Cirilo Tolentino here on June 23, 2023 to discuss various campaigns, one of which was on the coming Barangay & Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
Col. Palmer Tria, Bataan police director, presided over the meeting attended by staff officers, force commanders and chiefs of police in 11 towns and one city at the camp’s conference hall.
He encouraged his officers to solicit the support of law enforcement counterparts in conducting various police operations with the aim of strengthening security preparations for the upcoming elections scheduled on October 30, 2023.
The PD directed his men to strictly enforce the gun ban set by the Commission on Elections from August 28 to November 29, 2023.
Tria reminded his officers that the security and safety of the residents should be ensured while intensifying campaign against all forms of criminality, including illegal fishing and illegal logging.
He emphasized the importance of the PNP in maintaining peace and order despite, he said, of the challenges encountered in administrative, logistical and operational aspects of public service.
