BALANGA City: The Bataan Police Provincial Office on Friday conducted a community outreach program at a public elementary school in Barangay Bacong in Hermosa, Bataan benefitting some women and children in the area.
Bataan police director Romell Velasco said the outreach program was one way to celebrate Women’s Month and to show strong support to school children.
The police PD and his team distributed grocery packs to 100 mothers of students, 500 lunch boxes and tumblers for pupils and teaching personnel of the Bacong Elementary School and cash donation for the Adopt-a-School program.
“This activity aims to help, uplift and provide essential needs of the less fortunate families, strengthen the partnership between the Philippine National Police and the community, and serves as a reminder to everyone that there is always a good time to show kindness to others and to make the world a better place,” Velasco said.
Joining Velasco were the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit led by Major Gerald John Bautista and personnel of the Hermosa municipal police station under police chief Major Emerson Coballes.
