BALANGA City: The Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) conducted a two-day mental health seminar under the Philippine National Police’s “Bantay Kaisipan” for its personnel at Camp Tolentino in Balanga City on Wednesday and Thursday.
Two hundred BPPO personnel, 100 on the first day and another 100 on the second day, undertook psychiatric and psychological examinations.
The Regional Medical and Dental Unit 3, led by its chief, Col. Jonard De Guzman, conducted lectures on mental health red flags, anger management and on memorandum circular “Bantay Kaisipan” of the PNP.
Informative flyers containing health tips were also distributed to help personnel maintain overall well-being.
Bataan police director Col. Palmer Tria said the activity was facilitated by the Provincial Administrative and Records Management Unit of the BPPO in coordination with the Provincial Medical and Dental Office.
“This aims to assess and promote the mental well-being of police officers, ensuring they are mentally and emotionally prepared to perform their duties effectively,” Tria said.
