BALANGA CITY — The Philippine National Police conducted a surprise drug test on 60 personnel from the Bataan PNP Drug Enforcement Unit and intelligence unit province-wide at Camp Cirilo Tolentino here Thursday.
Bataan police director Col. Palmer Tria ordered the random drug test that was facilitated by the Bataan Provincial Forensic Unit led by Lt. Col. Amilyn Maclid.
“This activity aligns with PNP policies and laws aimed at reducing the risk of personnel engaging in illegal drug use, ensuring discipline, and safeguarding the integrity of the men and women of the Bataan Police Provincial Office,” Tria said.
The PD added that the surprise drug test is also part of ongoing efforts to promote accountability and uphold public trust in law enforcement.
