Nelin Cabahug, DTI provincial director, said that the amount of P457.2M corresponds to new investments while P120.1M are from renewed business registration.
A total of 2,203 new businesses created 3,739 new jobs in addition to 1,178 employment generated from renewals of 516 business firms or a total of 4,917 jobs produced for the period ending July 25, 2015.
Cabahug said that the business firms are involved in trading, service and manufacturing registered with DTI as sole proprietorship.
She made it clear that the investments generated are only from companies in Bataan registered with DTI. There are other investments from companies registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and cooperatives listed in the Cooperative Development Authority.
Cabahug also reported that DTI recently provided P2.1 million worth of equipment in Shared Service Facilities to Masagka, an upland farmers’ organization in Bagac, Bataan, to improve the production of engineered bamboos.
Gov. Albert Garcia and 2nd District Rep. Enrique Garcia provided P8 million to the organization for the construction of building and fences.
