CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A high-value drug suspect yielded at least one kilogram of shabu worth P6.8 million in a buy bust-operation in Barangay Bagong Silang, Balanga City at about 10:45 a.m. on Aug. 21.
The operation conducted by operatives of the Balanga City Police Station drug enforcement unit led to the arrest of the high-value individual and the recovery of a bag containing several sachets of suspected shabu, genuine and counterfeit peso bills used as buy-bust money, and other drug paraphernalia.
Police Regional Office 3 director, BGen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. commended the operatives for their diligence, stressing that the success was a product of accurate intelligence gathering and swift execution.
“This operation, guided by actionable intelligence, shows that PRO3 remains firm and uncompromising in its fight against illegal drugs. We will continue to pursue high-value targets and dismantle drug networks to protect our communities,” Peñones Jr. said.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated evidence were brought to Balanga CPS for proper documentation and filing of charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
